Charles B. Phelps correspondence, 1857-1858.

A collection of letters, the majority sent to Charles B. Phelps of Woodbury, Connecticut. Phelps was part of a committee to create a memorial to Seth Warner, a Revolutionary War hero who was born in Roxbury, Connecticut. Warner moved to Vermont at age 20 and fought in the war with their militia. The monument was to be installed in Connecticut.
